The Tragedie of Romeo and Juliet
By William Shakespeare

“Heaven finds means to kill your joys with love."

This raw, small-scale cross-gendered, nine-person production of William Shakespeare's The Tragedie of Romeo and Juliet is driven by a concept that gives the audience a peek at the type of work that goes on when actors are in training and rehearsal. Based on Peter Brooks’ concept of “rough theatre” this is the naked story, told by nine actors in an old Chicago church playing all of the play's 20+ roles, without any entire scene being cut.
